Best Nigerian Streetwear Brands in 2026
Nigerian streetwear is now big enough that "best of" lists tend to repeat the same three names or quietly include labels that stopped trading years ago. This list sticks to brands we could confirm are still selling in 2026, through a live online store or recent coverage. Each entry says where the brand is based and what it is actually known for.
One disclosure up front: we are Aurum Styles, a streetwear brand from Ibadan, and we include ourselves below. We are not at the top of the list and we have not given ourselves any awards. Read our entry the way you would read any brand writing about itself.
How we picked
- Nigerian-founded and streetwear at the core. We left out designer houses that only sometimes touch streetwear.
- Active in 2026. Each brand has a working online store or was covered for new work in 2025 or 2026.
- Known for something specific. A signature piece, a community, or a moment you can point to, not just a logo on a tee.
- Prices only where we saw them. Prices are from each brand's own site in late October 2026 and will change. Where a site does not show prices, we leave the column blank rather than guess.

1. WAF (WAFFLESNCREAM), Lagos
If Nigerian streetwear has a starting point, a lot of people would put it here. WAF was founded in 2012 by brothers Jomi and Nifemi Marcus-Bello with KC Obijiaku, and it began as Nigeria's first skate crew before it became a shop and a label. In March 2024 it opened a skatepark at Freedom Park on Lagos Island, which Nataal described as the country's first Olympic-standard park.
In 2026 WAF became the first Nigerian brand to collaborate with adidas, on a Superstar ADV with a grey upper drawn from Lagos Island's industrial look and a pink sole meant to recall the Lagos sky over water at dusk. The everyday range is tees, shirts and Ifá bead necklaces, priced in naira.
2. Severe Nature, Lagos
Severe Nature was started in Lagos in 2012 by school friends Christopher Afolabi, Tobi Adeleye and the late Michael Atobalele. It has a flagship store in Lagos and has run pop-up spaces in London. The current site leads with its HEAT CHECK campaign, a Beach Club resort line, Femme Nature for women and a velour tracksuit made with Hennessy.
Go to Severe Nature for loud graphics and a brand that takes summer seriously. It is one of the pricier names here, with graphic tees from about ₦80,000 and tanks a little under half that.
3. Pith Africa, Lagos
Pith is a dual-sex label founded by three university friends: Nez Anazodo, Cosmas Ojemen and Adedayo Laketu. OkayAfrica gives 2017 as the year it started operating. Pith is known for upcycled denim (its PITHISUS collab used indigo cloth dyed at the Kofar Mata pits in Kano), short films about Lagos subcultures, and a football jersey whose eagle crest is based on the African fish eagle.
Tees start around ₦35,000, and statement pieces like the Petal Polo run much higher. Its site is a good model of how a brand can document its own history.
4. David Blackmoore, Lagos
David Blackmoore, often just DB, was founded in Lagos in 2015, and Culture Custodian names Sammy Asaju and David Asiafa as its founders. It made its name with back-print graphic tees and bright oversized tops (the "mood like Fela" tee is the one people remember). It has since grown into scarves, leather totes and duffles, plus film and music under DBTV and DBSOUNDS. An AW26 collection was live on the site at the time of writing.
5. Ashluxe, Lagos
Ashluxe calls itself "the luxury destination for street wear," and its prices match. Culture Custodian credits Yinka Ash as founder and gives 2018 as the start date. The range covers jerseys, denim, tailored shirts, swimwear and accessories, and the site was running new drops and a back-in-stock section in late 2026. Ashluxe also matters as a training ground: Bola of Bolapsd (below) worked on its Olympiad releases before launching his own label.
6. Wear Thirsty, Lagos
Wear Thirsty was started by Olawale Olukolade, better known as Straffitti. It began as Shopstraffitti in 2016 and has a store in Lekki. Deeds Magazine points to its "999" graphic, which shows up on caps, hockey jerseys and tees, and to a netted vest with a studded "T". The online store shows prices in US dollars by default, which tells you who a lot of its buyers are.
7. Bolapsd, Lagos
Bolapsd is the label of Adebola "Bola" Olaniyan, a graphic designer who launched it in 2023 while still working at Ashluxe. It is best known for one piece: the white polo Rema wore in his "Fun" video. The NATIVE's 2025 profile says the brand has grown from Lagos to Canada, where Bola now lives. In July 2026 he released a pink version, the first designed for women. We could not confirm a working online store, so follow the brand on Instagram for drops. The NATIVE profile is a good place to start.
8. N.A.C.K, Lagos
N.A.C.K (Nigerian Articulate Culture Kullection) is the veteran here. It was founded in 2006 by Tolu Akinpeloye, also known as Luto Tailo, and it showed at Lagos Fashion Week in 2018. It makes Afrocentric casualwear for men, women and children. In April 2026 it released LXN Season 2 of its League of Xtraordinary Nigerians line, with a green-and-white jersey, a scarf and two caps. See its Lagos Fashion Week designer page.
9. Aurum Styles, Ibadan
This is us. Aurum Styles is a streetwear brand based in Ibadan, which makes it one of the few names on any list like this from outside Lagos. We make boxy tees, baggy jorts and joggers, tanks and limited drops.
Our first big drop, ROOT, was shot in Ibadan, inside Adebisi Mansion and up at Bower's Tower. It had seven pieces: the Root Boxy Tee, Root Cropped Boxy Shirt, Nexus Baggy Jorts and Joggers, the Nox Mini Skirt, and the Cypher and Onyx tanks. ROOT is back in limited numbers, 40 pieces per style, with the tee at ₦19,000 and the joggers at ₦31,000. You can see the campaign on our films page, shop the ROOT collection, or browse everything we make.
We are younger and smaller than every other brand here, and we have no press features or collabs to point to yet. What we can offer is a lower price than the Lagos labels above and a city that rarely appears in these lists.
Brands we checked but left out
- Vivendii was a key early label, but its domain was parked when we checked in October 2026.
- Motherlan, the Lagos skate crew turned label, matters a great deal to this story. Its online store showed as unavailable, and we found no new 2026 work to confirm it is still trading.
- Daltimore and Meji Meji: we could not confirm a live store or recent releases.
If any of these are active again, we will add them back. For the longer story of how these brands got here, read our short history of streetwear in Nigeria.
FAQ
What is the most famous Nigerian streetwear brand?
No single brand holds that title, but WAF is one of the most widely covered internationally. It was founded in 2012, opened a skatepark in Lagos in 2024 and became adidas's first Nigerian collaborator in 2026. Severe Nature and Pith Africa are also regularly featured in international fashion press.
Are Nigerian streetwear brands expensive?
It depends on the brand. From the prices we saw in October 2026, tees from established Lagos labels mostly cost between ₦35,000 and ₦100,000, and luxury-leaning lines go well past ₦300,000. Smaller and newer brands, including ours, sit lower.
Is all Nigerian streetwear from Lagos?
Most of the well-known brands are, along with the big events like Street Souk. There are brands elsewhere, though. Aurum Styles is from Ibadan, and our ROOT drop was shot entirely in the city.
Where can I buy Nigerian streetwear in person?
Several brands on this list have physical stores in Lagos, including Severe Nature's flagship and Wear Thirsty in Lekki. Street Souk, held in Lagos since 2018, is the biggest single event for buying from many brands at once. Check each brand's site or Instagram before you visit, because store details change.
