Bola PSD: the Lagos label behind the polo Rema wore in Fun

By Aurum Styles™ 1 min read

Bola PSD is one of the Nigerian streetwear names people keep asking about, largely because of one collared polo that became the label's calling card after Rema wore it in his "Fun" video.

Where it started

The label was launched in 2023 by Adebola Olaniyan, known as Bola. Deeds Magazine reports that he worked on two Ashluxe collections, Olympiad 1.0 and 2.0, and ran his own brand alongside that job for a while. The Native reports that the first designs leaned towards a rockstar look, and that within about two months he moved to everyday fits closer to his own taste. He was already a graphic designer, designs most of the pieces himself, and has named Virgil Abloh as his biggest influence.

The polo

The crest-branded polo carries the slogan "This Life I Live Is Forever" and has come back in new colourways. According to Deeds, a pink version first shown at the Homecoming Summit on 3 April 2026 went on sale on 3 July, the first version made specifically for women. Deeds also traces an online argument about the polo, over where inspiration ends and copying begins. Bola has said the fabric was inspired by Lacoste and Ralph Lauren, and that the design, crest and slogan are his own.

Beyond Lagos

Zikoko lists Bola PSD among the Nigerian brands that often sell out, with pop-ups in Lagos, Abuja and Toronto.
